Here we are—the final day of 2024. This time last year, we said goodbye to Betty, and this week, we lost Jimmy. Two icons who each lived a century, witnessing everything life could throw at them, and yet their legacies were steeped in empathy—for people, animals, and the world around them. Betty and Jimmy had their gifts, and they shared them generously.

Treasure Tuesday isn’t always about physical things you can toss in your cart at Target or click “Add to Cart” on Amazon. Today, it’s about ideals, feelings, patience—and, most importantly, family traditions.

Cue the confetti, because this is my very first Treasure Tuesday post here on my shiny new website. Thank you for your patience and encouragement as I wade through this uncharted territory. If you’ve read my bio (and if not, no judgment, but you *should*), you might have noticed I’m not exactly the Hemingway of blogs. If I didn’t mention it there, consider this your official disclaimer: I am *not* a writer. What I am, though, is someone with a knack for spotting treasures worth sharing—be they thoughtful, meaningful, or just sprinkled with a little fairy dust.

One of my favorite ways to spend a quiet weekend is exploring estate sales, especially those tucked away in mansions or affluent neighborhoods. It’s not about aspiring to “live like the other side.” For me, it’s about uncovering pieces with a story, hunting for treasures that bring a spark of joy—or snagging a bargain I never knew I needed.
